Trackers: TFind

TFind decodes three families and shows those: Apple AirTag, Samsung SmartTag and SmartTag+, and Tile. It estimates how close a tag is, and it warns you when the same unknown tracker keeps turning up as you move.

AirPods: AFind

An AirPod is not a Find My tag, and it does not broadcast like one, so TFind does not detect it. AFind is the one aimed at AirPods and AirPods Pro, including the case.

This trips people up because AirPods appear inside Apple’s Find My alongside AirTags. That is Apple’s account doing the work, not a Bluetooth broadcast an Android app can read the same way.

Every Bluetooth device: UFind and UFind Lite

UFind lists any Bluetooth device it can hear — headphones, watches, fitness bands, speakers, phones. UFind Lite does the same job built for speed: the scan starts when the app opens, with no ads and no sign-up.

This is the honest answer to the most common review complaint about any tracker detector — “another app found twenty devices and this one found two”. Both were correct. A general scanner lists everything; a tracker detector decodes tracker formats. If the long list is what you want, use the app that produces it.

Hidden cameras: CFind

Hidden cameras are a different sensor problem. CFind scans over Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and infrared, which is what finding a camera actually needs.

A camera is not a Bluetooth tracker, so no amount of BLE scanning will surface one. Bundling camera detection into a tracker app is common and it mostly buys false confidence in both directions.

What none of them can do

Bluetooth sets the ceiling for all four. Range is roughly 5 to 10 metres and walls block it. Distance is estimated from signal strength, so it behaves like warmer and colder rather than an arrow. And a device that is not actively broadcasting cannot be found at all — by any app, on any phone.

Two of these apps are new enough that Google Play does not yet display a star rating for them. That is a fact about their age, not a claim about their quality, and it is worth knowing before you read too much into a missing score.
