Pro is sold either as a subscription or as a one-time lifetime purchase. The lifetime price was US$25.99 on the US Play listing on 14 September 2026; it was US$33.99 in August, so it does move. The word “free” in the app stores
Every Android tracker detector on Google Play is “free” in the store’s sense — free to download. Most, TFind included, then show ads or sell a Pro tier. Two do not. AirGuard, from TU Darmstadt, is open source with no ads and no paid tier, scans in the background, and reads AirTag, Samsung SmartTag and Google Find Hub trackers — if “free” means no ads ever, it is the honest first recommendation. Apple’s own Tracker Detect is also ad-free, but it scans only while you hold it open and press the button, finds AirTags and Find My accessories only, and has no background mode. You also have a free option that is not an app at all. Android sends unknown tracker alerts on its own, for the trackers it supports — see Android Help, Find unknown trackers. What no price unlocks
Free or Pro, TFind reads three tracker families and nothing else: Apple AirTag, Samsung SmartTag and SmartTag+, and Tile. A Chipolo, a Pebblebee, a Google Find Hub tag or a no-brand keyring tag produces nothing — not a weak detection, nothing. The exact rule is on which trackers TFind detects.
Bluetooth itself is the other limit. It reaches roughly 5 to 10 metres, walls block it, and an AirTag rebroadcasts only about every 15 minutes, so a scan can miss a tag on one pass and catch it on the next. An AirTag sitting next to its owner’s iPhone stays almost silent by Apple’s design. No app on Android, paid or free, changes any of that.
